No rust yet here ....... but she spends most days in a covered carport and almost never ever has seen snow, ice, salt, etc.

I jack my truck up and spray the underside with a pressure washer. Then I have the luxury of using my HVLP sprayer with a 1 gallon can of Rustoleum high gloss black.

Whole job takes about 4-6 hours.

I was thinking of switching the color to red and painting the frame red, not sure yet.

Here's a pic of mine taken last summer. It's much worse now and the other side has a lot of bubbling paint. First noticed paint bubbling on this side back in 2012 at only 7 years old Every body shop wants north of $1000 per side to fix it which I'm not going to pay for. I figure I'll have this truck another 5 years and there will be major holes in the bed sides. It's a shame cause the rest of the truck looks damn good for being 10 years old.

Funny thing is my 89 ranger had virtually no rust on it when I traded it in on the 05 F150 but for the last several years of it's life the paint was gone on the top of the front fenders and cab.

My truck's frame is surface rusted up bad. I have plans to POR15 it. It was in every PA winter from winter '06 to '13. Last year was the only winter it ever sat out of the salt completely. Starting this late in the 120k mile range it is a bit late, but I am hoping to help with the resale value a hair for when I decide to try selling it.

for an update, I have recently discovered more bubbles than I recall around the rear wheelwells....hope it's not too bad under the paint. I was supposed to fix it last trip home, but it rained almost all weekend as fortune would have it. i'll get to it as soon as feasible I guess....

I want to give you a thumbs up emoji, but they don't exist on this site.

Ah. Didn't see that. I was looking for a thumb like the iPhone emoji type. That's why I didn't see it.

I've got lots of surface rust on the frame, but nothing under the paint anywhere yet.
