If the 7200 is the standard package, what truck would get the 7050 you mentioned? Would that be the 2WD?

Do the P-metric tires look different than the LT tires. For some reason I always thought they might look more like a regular car tire after they were installed.

Most look exactly the same of they're within the same series. Some companies offer a totally different series for their LT's, but that would only include load E.

But take the Cooper dicoverer for example, p metric, LT load c and LT load e all look identical. LT's may have slightly deeper tread. 14/32nd on a p metric vs 16.5/32nd on an LT. Not that it'll even effect the longivity though.

Agreed, most of them look pretty much identical to the P-series. They are just a much stiffer tire compound. I could air the LT (E) tires up to 80psi if needed in order to get max loading capacity, but I ran 'em with 50psi for every-day driving in order to keep the truck from being shaken apart, lol. I got some pretty bad wheel hop over bumps even at 50psi.

My Screw Lariat 2WD has the 7050# option and the factory towing package.

I agree. I too went from LT back to a p metic recently and the ride is much nicer.

My '07 FX4 Scab Fside's Sticker reads:
"PREFERRED EQUIPMENT PKG. 505A" with no entry under costs
followed by:

"P275/50R20 OWL ALL-TERRAIN" with notation "NO CHARGE"
and below that is:
"3.55 RATIO LIMITED SLIP AXLE" with notation "NO CHARGE"
and then the next line is:
"7200# GVWR PACKAGE" with no entry under costs.

If it helps any in the discussion?
