Optional Equipment

I got a copy of my window sticker for my 2005 F150 Lariat SuperCrew 4X4 today. Under “Optional Equipment” it shows “7200# GVWR Package”. Is that an option that was available with my truck and if so what did it include?
It also shows Preferred Equipment Package PKG 508A. Does anybody know what that includes?

I believe the 7200# gvwr is just the standard package as the 8200# is the heavy duty one. Also, the 508a I believe is just a standard package in the lariat.

I'm not sure that the LT-tires were standard equipment on any F-150.

Correct, sorry I meant that to apply to the non HD-payload F-150s. Thus the 7,200 GVWR should have had the P-tires.

My LT tires are listed under Optional Equipment. I wonder if that was a standalone option or if a different option generated it.

I still think it’s odd that the “7200# GVWR Package” is listed under options

Bet it is listed as a no cost option - which essentially means standard equipment.

I suppose it could be. I know the "7050# GVWR Package" is P-rated for sure. Maybe the the 150lbs difference kicks it into LT-tires.

Maybe 7050# gets p, 7200# LT C and 8200# LT E. Cobra, which load rate LT's did yours come with?

My spare that looks to be original is a Goodyear Wrangler AT/S Load C
The date code on the spare is 3904 and is very close to my build date

That seems to make perfect sense and corresponds with my last post. Good to hear! Weird thing about the LT C's is there are many p metric XL's that have a higher load rating. Strange. For instance, look at a 265/70r17 Cooper disoverer at3, the p metric has a higher load rating than the LT C. Not that this last little bit matters too much, but just putting it out there.

I guess I was questioning Load D/E LT tires, it didn't even occur that Ford would bother with C tires given that they are generally pretty close in loading to most truck/suv P-metric tires. I had LT-E terra grapplers for my last set but went back down to the P-metric version for the latest set due to the harsh riding characteristics of the LT's (only kept them at 50psi).

GVWR for 2004+ Screws:

2wd 4.6L: 6800
2wd 5.4L: 7050
4wd 4.6L: 6900
4wd 5.4L: 7200
