Airbag light is on. Should I pull a fuse?

My airbag light started blinking a few days ago and my horn is also not working. I setup an appointment for Thursday to have the airbag harness/clock spring recall done (should have done it a while ago obviously). From what I have read this should solve the problem.

In the meantime, is there a way to disable the airbag so I don't risk it going off on its own? The wires must be chafed in order to set off the light so I believe I am at risk for an unintended airbag deployement. Is there a fuse I can pull or some other simple way to make sure this doesn't happen?

Thanks

The fuse for the airbag module is in the passenger kick panel. It's #19 - a 10 amp fuse.

If I pull the #19 Fuse (Air bag module for my 2005 F150) the warning chime stops, but will the Airbag still deploy?

Check your connections under your seats. Happened to me when I pulled the seats out and hadn't clipped the connectors enough.

If the airbag light is on or flashing, the SRS is already disabled and the system cannot fire the airbags. You do not need to do anything else.

Is it a steady flash ..... or is there a code being flashed?

Watch it close, it's likely trying to tell you what's wrong.

Here's some more on SRS and codes and 2004 F150s:
