Thanks, Darren!

You've got just the Harley grill, right? I'm surprised the guy even made that comment, cause that's barely "posing", even with all the PTM parts. I even have an FX4/STX grill too I bought that a looong time ago though cause I don't like the honeycomb one.

I remember the dealership body manager asked me when I was going to get the Harley Davidson badges on the fenders/gate/bed side, told him never. He seemed surprised and I explained I just like the looks, not trying to claim it is a real Harley edition. I know back in the day that would tick off the '02/'03 supercharged guys and the Lightning guys, using their badges on a N/A truck .

I like to think my truck is an 'FX4-Harley Davidson-Mark LT' edition though
I agree. I would have bought the H-D Edition if it wasn't an H-D edition, lol. Love the look, could care less about the name.

Nobody bothers looking at a lowered truck in the first place . . . although they might egg a lowered 4x4.

Lol. I think there's a saying that every time a 4x4 gets lowered, God kills a puppy. At least that's how I remember it.

I think it's every time a 4x4 gets lowered, God kills an entire civilization

Wonder what happens when a 2WD gets lifted

Pretty much. The painted headlamps are OEMs painted gloss black to mimmick they Harley Davidson, and the bulb caps are also gloss black, exclusive Harley touches. I have my orange reflector heavily smoked though.

I'm buying the valance from Fine_style so that will add to the HD list. Other than that, I get the FX4 area from paint matched bumpers, and the Mark LT from the painted handles with chrome pulls.

The painted mirrors, custom emblems front & rear, I just call that DarrenWS6 style

Looking forward to your plasti-dip experimentation. Would love to see your truck paint matched all around!

Ok, I thought that was about it. We all have black headlights so I don't consider that Harley posing too bad haha. Darren-style is up there with the best! You and IDNC76 are why I had black as a mandatory criteria when I was looking for a truck. Just couldn't pass mine up

What'd ya have to give up for that? I saw you inquire about it. Kind of expensive for just a little 'ole valance!

I'm probably just gonna do the rear bumper (first at least, still think PD is tacky for long-term/permanent use), along with the tailgate handle with the automotivetouchup gear, to see how all of that is. That way the rear end will be "done." Then I'm gonna paint my OEM heads white (mrocha85's whole truck kills me every time I see it!) and throw them on to see how I like it. Should have it all done during the Christmas time. Might throw my smoked Mark LT tails on again at the end for kicks.

I may have to hit you up for your tow hooks at some point if you're willing to part with them cause I don't think I'm gonna keep the bullbar if I get a proper PTM front bumper with fog lights.

I REALLY want some of Brent's Ford emblems too, no one else's are good enough or really done the way I want them.

Thanks! I wish I bought IDNC's truck from him, he only wanted $24k for it as it was, I bought my truck for $22,5! I did buy my front bumper from him for $150, intended for my old '04, but ac direct fit on my '07!

Have you priced a Harley edition valance lately? $570 from the dealer. Probably a hundred less from Tasca. I agreed to pay his full price, I just got to get some Christmas shopping done, and the truck gets its ball joint work and the Nittos on next week. Along with alignment, and inspection, it will be a $400 dollar day. I have quite a bit of car/truck parts to get done in the garage .

Yes Brent is a master. Going to have him do some more work for me pretty soon.

Sure thing man, I don't plan to list them for sale as I will pull the Harley grill & valance if I ever sell, so they will sit in my garage but if you could use them I will sell them cheap to you!

Primed aftermarket bumpers are usually $200 on eBay. You could buy a primed, ready to go front bumper with fogs/valance for $370 or so.

You could probably have your rear bumper sand blasted and painted as it won't see as much abuse as the front end will. If not, $200 some on eBay. I found a black rear bumper assembly on eBay for $230 shipped, minor damages but nothing worth a deal breaker.

Why didn't you buy it?! I drool over that darn thing all the time. It was literally perfect, except at the end when he started running it nose-high. There are only extremely minor things I would have changed.

I don't doubt that they run that much, but why pay for something that is really hard to see, especially on an all black truck? haha

Sounds good to me, thanks!

Do you or would you trust aftermarket bumpers to fit and line up properly and all that? No real reason why they wouldn't, just never fully considered them for this reason. I think my next plan of attack will be leaving notes on white FX4's windshields offering to swap bumpers with cash on my end and willing to do all the work haha

I never noticed he was selling it. All I would have done was the '06/'08 bumper swap which he had the bumper so I would have bought it from him anyway .

True, but anything that bares the Harley Davidson name is outrageously priced.

Well the front bumper he sold me fits perfectly, lined up very nice and is every bit as solid as an OEM paper thin unit .

I have considered doing the same windshield note thing for the thinner 4" step bars to swap my bulky 5" bars.

Oh that bumper isn't OEM? Hmm . . . Funny thing though, cause I'd actually much prefer the 04/05 bumper, if it were a direct swap. Too bad the frame horns/mounting points or whatever changed for 06.

I think the windshield note thing may work, for both of us! I figure someone out there has got to like a free $300-400 bucks with me doing all the work Just gotta be able to inspect 'em beforehand

If you had fog lamps I would be confident you could find somebody willing to swap bumpers since most like the cleaner design of the small gap/round fog bumper. I was going to convert my old dark toreador '04. Keep an eye out on Craigslist!

For certainly. There's a few local folks with the step bars I want, I'm always tempted to stop and ask. Just gotta have my truck with me.
