Hello, I have a 2005 King Ranch 4x4 with 190k miles on it. Its lived its life on the highway and has never towed anything really heavy. Just this last week, the truck has been making an annoying humming or whine under 2000rpms, regardless of the load. It even occurs in reverse. Once the motor goes above 2k rpms, the whine goes away. The noise seems like its coming from behind the dash.....anyone else have this issue? If so, any info/help is greatly appreciated

My truck was making a whine under throttle and then the alternator just died last week. New alternator and no more whine. Only thing aside of power steering that i can imagine would produce a whine.
