so I've got an 07 f150 supercab, the issues is the door ajar light comes on when i get in. i checked and slammed all the doors and the light stays on. about 10 min it seems to go off, and now i realized the automatic locking is working till the truck is warmed up..... where the hell do i start to look? maybe something is freezing up when the truck sits and thaws out when it gets warm? SOMEONE PLEASE

 

u could try wd-40 the door latch mech.

give it a few squirts and open and shut the door and repeat.

and see if that helps

 

my guess would be a faulty switch. Probably stuck in the open position so when the door shuts it stays with contacts made, giving a ground and therefore the Body Security Module (BSM) a signal.

Does it ping with the keys in the ignition but the doors closed as if the door was open?

 

thanks guys the wd40 did the trick for now i think. in sprayed some in te key hole and turned back and forth for a bit.
