Recon Xtreme Lightbar - Nonfunctional after a few months?

I bought a Recon Xtreme Lightbar a few months ago and ever since winter hit, it stopped working. I checked the fuses and it was not blowing any. It's plugged into the trailer tow hitch lights which was oem on my truck so I don't get it.

On way home in the snow today, my driver side turn signal stopped working, it would only light up solid. I got home and unplugged the Xtreme Lightbar wire from my 4-pin and right away my turn signal started flashing as normal.

Safe to assume their wiring isn't waterproof or do I have a fault kit or they do they make junk as I keep reading on a bunch of threads with my Google Search? I just haven't found anyone to have the solid turn signal issue with this yet... thanks!

I had one on my 03 KR and it lasted maybe 6 months.. After a bunch of hell raising they refunded my money... Good Luck

Recon led light bars are junk. That's your first mistake, as was mine.

damn that blows, what's a good option for lightbars then? I thought they were one of the best out there....guess not now....wish I had seen that thread before!

I really want the extra turning lights and reverse lights since I'm lifted and it's right in people's eyesight.

There's better options for added reverse lights. Even guys with lowered trucks have added under the bumper hidden reverse lights.

yeah those are ideas but I'm pretty sure, my constant backing up into snow mounds would break those so I haven't considered that option lol

Not if you mount them right.

Really all their stuff is junk? Yet noone else makes a similar xtreme lightbar? I guess I better get to designing my own and testing it in all types of weather before actually mass selling it and screwing people over. lmao

Add its own fused circuit with a relay and a very good ground.

Some LED "lights" just seem touch and go to me. I've had a few LED based lights, bulbs, lightbars, etc, sometimes they're great and last forever..others..not.

I'll be first to say my recon led light bar (fire & ice nothing fancy) has been working flawlessly for two years. IDK maybe because of weather conditions?

It must be due to the weather conditions and the fact that roads by me flood and I plow through them, then again their stuff should be water tight, especially if they are selling to the truck market lol. I'll have to do my research on that one, just really like the functionality of this one while I had it.

So Recon items work great as long as you don't live in the north. Recon needs to put quality into their product... Not China into their product.
