Deer strike: Before and After

I hit a 100lb. buck last month going 55 mph. $6000.00 plus damage.

Got the truck back last week. The independent shop did an excellent job on the vehicle. Had the Roush grille replaced with a factory FX2 one and the lower FX2 valance was replaced with a Roush spoiler. Very happy with the results.

Ohh man! It's amazing how much damage they can do.. Good thing it didn't come up and into the windshield..

Looks like the body shop did a great job though.

I feel for you, and agree that your shop did a SUPER job fixing it. Love the look!
August 2011 I had a big deer cross in front of me and saw that I was going to miss her when "WHAM!" .... the small fawn following ran into my left front bumper and mine wa only $1005.12 to fix. Light was not broken, just popped loose in part. Only parts they replaced were bumper, a bracket, and they painted the bumper and the flex upper bumper. I myself removed and realligned stuff after they "fixed it" as some jack leg there totally screwed up that part.
Your's ....... Looks Superb!

Good or better than new with the FX2 grill. Are those your winter wheels on in the after pics? Also, truck would look really good with some '09 mirrors.

Or any non-stx mirrors. I think I'd ptm the step bars, too.

Yes, those are the factory wheels on for the winter. I had to take the Saleens off the front just so I could steer the truck after the accident. The truck is a 6 cyl, rubber mat, crank window STX so the mirrors and the steps don't bother me. I do fool a lot of people, they think it's a Roush. All show and no go.

Glad to see you got your truck all fixed up after the incident with the deer. I had a close cal a week and a half ago. A deer was standing on the road in the oposite lane seen it there the car in front of me didn't see it. as the deer started to move it just missed hitting his drivers side then stopped then darted towrds my truck before going back into the corn field about 50 feet in front of me at 11:30 at night.

Looks good! Glad they got it fixed.

I've had 3 or 4 deer run out infront of me the past month. I always stand on the breaks to avoid hitting them. Then after the deer moves and I get a little ways down the road I start to think about how badly my bumper needs painted and how my fog lights draw in moisture. Then I wish I would have hit it

Man I used to be the same way with my old XLT, wanted a painted '06/'08 bumper so bad .

Now I pray I don't hit one because I'm pretty sure the insurance will not put another Harley Edition grill on my truck.

Nah, I turned him into a deer frisbee...he was spinning down the road. I hit him at 4:00 a.m about a mile from the house. The officer asked if I wanted him...told him to call someone on the list to pick him up.
