First of hello i am a new member here, Brian 22 from kentucky. I have fixed many porblems on mine and others trucks just from reading on this forum and now i am in major need of help and figured i would make an account so here i am.
I drive a 2007 fx4 black bone stock other than flowmaster dual straights, and have been wanting to dosome stuff to my truck however i am very inclined on the things i am wanting to do.

Step one l need to level the truck after readingt he web and help of a buddy i heard that the spacer things on ebay for 99 dollars are not to good on the truck and have decided to get the billstein kit that comes with two new rear shocks and two front leveling shocks.

Step two Deciding wheels well after hearing and reading that my favorite looking wheel (gear alloy) is junk i am down to two wheels now xd addict and xd misfit i will be going to a 17 inch wheel instead of my 18s just because in future my tires will be cheaper. So after talking to a guy he tells me that the misfit will rub my fender and addict wouldnt. Isnt a17x9 wheel a 17x9 wheel?
Having that said we get to my problem i guess iwill go with the xd addict however i have no clue what offset and back spacing to get please please help me i weant it to stick out a little past my fenders however not the whole tire or that much hope that makes sense stick out a little but not to much

Step three Deciding tire pretty much i was between the falken rockymountain ats , the bf goodrich tko, and the cooper s/t. I drive quite a bit so i have decided the best deal for me are the coopers i have had them before and really liked them. Heard that tkos are not togood of a ride and hardto keep balanced and the falken i think will not hold up to good after reading many reviews i will be running a 33x1250xr17
thanks in advance

Wheels: 17x9 wheels are not all the same. You can get 4.5" of backspacing up to probably 6" or so. To run a 12.50 tire and stick it out just a little, I would say 5" of backspacing. I have 17x9 4.75" backspacing with 35x12.50s and mine stick out significantly

Leveling: Using spacers should be fine if you get 2" or 2.5". Don't get 3". They cause problems. You'll get a better ride with the Bilsteins though. If you don't mind the extra cost, then go for them

Tires: I know the BFG ATs are good. My dad has them and my friend does too. I hear of them lasting 50,000 miles to 80,000 miles. My dad's are looking like they will last over 50,000 easy.

Exhaust: Do you have straight pipes or flowmasters?

What are straight flowmasters? I've heard of straights and I've heard of flowmasters

First ..... "Welcome Aboard!"

As to the duials, I take it you have a FM Super 44 and then two tail pipes ..... nut straight pipes?

As to wheels, my 07 has the factory 20" wheels, I think they are 8.5" wide. I can't help much except to say I think I saw a "sticky" which has info on wheels / sizes / backspaceing?

I went the other way with mine, but to each his own ..... as I take it if you go over 2.5" leveling it binds the ball joints. Measure close before setting those shocks for your lift, it only takes about 0.63 or 0.66 inch at the shock to lift the front a whole inch.

Correct lol and from whtvi have heard and read the billsteins come with two settings stock or a 2 inch level so I will have them on the level position and i know for a fact 05 and older usually take like a 2.5 inch cause of more sagging I mean I have been searching and and searching for months that's why I finally decided to make a thread
