I like your truck! I hate to beat the dead horse, but I would stay away with the 3" leveling kit. I have a 2.5" and it can clear 35", and great choice on tires! I have a bald set of STT's on right now and I just ordered another set of them yesterday. I cant wait to put them on, I love the STT's. Mine only rub the sway bar a little at full lock, and I have 35", but I also have stock wheels. Goodluck and post some pics once you get the tires on.

Haha alright. Is the silicone is only visible from the backside? How much do you want for them?

That looks great man! Was it a pain because it took so long or because it was difficult?

its around the seam, so when the hoods closed you can only see silicone where the light meets the fender. if you want, pm your email and i'll take some pics and give you a asking price.

Your truck looks great! Did you put bigger blocks in the rear? I'm definitely getting the STT's and a leveling kit. The only thing up in the air is the size. From everything i've heard, I'll be going with the 2.5".

I put it on your profile under your visitor messages. I couldn't figure out how to do a PM. Still new at this haha.

Difficulty, is why it sucked. I had the day off so time wasn't too big of an issue. Baked each headlight 3 or 4 times and its hard to get the seal broke even from the corner. Then you are lucky to get 5 inches separated with each bake. Mangled the corner a bit getting it started. Then once they are separated I had to repeat to get the Oem silicone out of the grooves. Once it hardens it is very difficult to remove. I sanded but think it could be done without. Just hopefully you have patience, which I do, but it will be tested. Not easy but can be done.

Sounds like a tedious job. I may try it on one of my off days.

I'll soon be getting a set of 35/12.50/17 Cooper STTs and a 3 inch leveling kit and adding a 1 inch larger block to the rear (would love a suspension lift kit but it's not quite in the budget at the moment). I've also got a set of Flowmaster Super 50s. I've got a new set of overlays coming for my front and rear emblem. They'll both be camo with a black Ducks Unlimited logo.

For a Flareside, it's .... .... bland. Most Flaresides have some "POP" built in. The different shapes, the hooks, the narrow bed, the steps ....
.... all combine to set them off, create "interest".

Yeah, your's is clean, it's shiney, and it's certainly NOT ugly ....
.... but it is a bit .... bland. I mean ..... everything just blends together into a black blob, there's no definition, no "POP" to it. You have hidden what "POP" it had. I didn't even notice it being a Flareside until I read another post below it and I am always watching for a Flareside. My wife and I are always doing double takes when we see Flaresides. Love the Flaresides.

I am not what you call a fan of the all blacked out look though but what matters is not how others feel, including me. What matters is how you feel about it.

It's just another opinion. Take care and don't spare the wax.

Email sent with pics

As far as the truck goes, it's a nice truck as is. I think the heads and fogs would look good blacked out, new lariat or fx4 mirrors, 09+ emblems, and possibly a new grille depending on your preference and the truck would really be the bees knees.
