I'm not sure, but you may have to swap the plastic upper part of your bumper if you're sticking an 06-08 style on there.

The ptm mirror caps and handles look great!

Did you have to remove the whole mirror assembly to get the caps off?

Looks good.

For what it's worth, I think the body shop guy did you a favor by painting the bottom half of the mirror as well. It won't fade and looks better than the textured. Why don't you find another set of the mirror body/triangular part and have that painted the same way, then swap it out?

Looks good Darren

As for the Mirror caps, it doesnt look that bad, mayb have the mirror body painted the same color aswell, just a thought since we all know how well the plastic exterior pieces hold up over the years.

Lets see that Front bumper on there

I don't think it should be necessary, would surely hope not. Both bumpers are flat on top with each other.

No. Push the mirror glass so that it is tilted all the way down, the mirror motor mount on the glass is round, there are 2 clips on top of it. Use a thin flat head screw driver to push the tabs and pop the mirror loose from the motor mount The mirror glass will be free so keep it in hand, or if you have the signal/heated mirrors like me ( and your Lariat obviously would ) let the glass hang by the wires for heat. There will be 4 torx bolts ( size 15 ) to remove with a socket bit screwdriver. Once you remove all 4 the covers pull off gently. Reinstall is vice versa.

Thanks! Yes I think so too, chrome just doesn't go with the Dark Toreador Red, looks wicked PTM & black to my thoughts. It will definitely be one of the more unique OEM looking trucks out there since this paint was never an all PTM option on F150s ( excluding Royal Red on the 09+ Platinums ). There is a dark burgundy colored Super Duty with Harley ( or maybe King Ranch? ) badges in my town, looks absolutely bad ***. All PTM, black wheels and a lift. Love the truck,. hate the owner for having the truck

It is a Roush Chrome over plastic billet style grill painted black. My emblem had a broken stud and about 3 months ago I slammed the hood shut and the other stud broke so the emblem fell off. I decided its ok for now since the wheels & tires make it look alright but I will be buying another replacement to work on soon. The grill also needs repainted, I didn't use adhesion promoter so I paid the price 2yrs later..

Then: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...ot-chrome.html

Now:, which actually this pic is very forgiving. It is very chipped.

Me too actually. I am happy with the look, it just sucks that I cannot get the rest of the mirrors done because my truck is my only vehicle.. I need it every day. I will try to, or heck even borrowing some ugly XL mirrors for a couple days would work.

That's why I suggested buying a 2nd set to have painted, then swap out the parts.

I like the ptm look much better. I did my mine last year, and I think the mirror caps are next on my list.

Did your truck come with the keyless entry option? Mine didn't, but when the salesman handed me the keys, he said, "here's your keyless code". I told him the truck didnt have it, he looked confused. lol

I just didnt worry about it, but it would be nice if I could easily add it on if I decide to. Like if the wires were there?

I need a new sig pic.
