OEM Transmission Pan w/ Drain Plug
2006 F150 With 5.4 and 4R75E transmission
I want to add a drain plug to the transmission pan but upon searching I ran across this part number for a OEM pan with drain plug.
Does any body know if this would fit the 4R75E?
Part number F8UZ-7A194-AA

My plan is to keep my truck for a long time, with 50k on it now I want to stay up to par with things. I hate anybody touching my truck for anything besides me, so bringing it somewhere is not happening. lol And With trying to find the transmission service guide with one answer is all over the place....one is good for 100k-150k, one is "sealed with lifetime fluid", and ford online at severe conditions calls for 30k service, but then not again until 105k.. My thought was on every third oil change drain the trans pan and refill the 4-5 quarts in there. As of now my fluid looks nice and red and smells just like new, does not appear to be showing any signs of breaking down or burnt looking as of 50k. But I can get Motorcraft Mercon V for cheap so I firgure why not, it sure cant hurt it. And once I get an idea in my head, its hard for anybody else to convince me otherwise.

So
#1 I either order it up for 52 bucks
#2 Drill a hole in my current pan and try and braze a nut on the inside of it and use a normal bolt w/ washer from the outside as the plug
Here are pics of the OEM pan w/ plug

And I know, nothing like OEM upgrades!!, nothing beats it when you know S**t will fit like it should
O, one quick question you might know... The pan is steel right?...not Stainless?
Edit: never mind....kinda hard to have a magnet stick to it if it were stainless.
