random question

Does anyone else get shocked whenever you get out of the truck and touch your door? It happens to me about 8 out of 10 times. This has only recently started happening (within the past 3 months). What could be causing this? An electrical short that is somehow causing a build up in static electricity?

Its not a major problem, but it is really annoying.

I have the cloth seats. However, I have had the truck since 2006 and its only recently that it has been occurring.

I also have cloth. Between my truck, and my dads truck, i'll get a jolt stepping out of mine. But his, I never do. So I figured it has been the seats that charge me up. I never have a problem sitting on his leather seats.

I have tried rubbing all around against my seats and then touching the doors but it doesn't shock me.

You need to put some dryer sheets on your seats.
