There aren't enough details here to give any sort of qualified opinion on the value. Go to KBB and NADA and see for yourself if it is a fair retail price or not. I don't think a lot of guys realize that used truck prices have gone up quite a bit in the past year or two, and a broker is going to be on the high end to start with. He doesn't work for free after all.
If that's a 2005, going from what I see the KBB retail value in my zip code is about $20,200.

That rust looks worse than it is -- there's nothing there that will affect the overall performance of the truck. Just the normal toll that driving in an environment where they have "real" winters can have on a vehicle. However, I tend to agree that the price is high for what it is.
Why in the world would you use a broker for an F-150? I could see if you were looking for an obscure, high-end vehicle, but not something as common as a pick-up truck! Heck -- go on ebay alone and you'll probably find a hundred trucks to go through that at least come close to your criteria.....

Hahaha, no offence, but if you guys consider that a rust buket, you should come see trucks in northern Alberta! My truck and my brothers (07 F-150) are both way rustier than that, and we always keep them washed well underneath. Its just exsessive amounts of salt they put on the roads up her in winter. Everybodies trucks are rusty like that in thoses places, especially when you live out in the country and have long commutes on salty hightways... But still thats alot of kms for 20K...

I cant believe the guy got this truck for i havent agreed to buy it yet and he wants $20000 for it with 86000 miles. i was already way uncomfortable with miles but now the rust. its just stupid. just wanted yalls opinions. btw the truck was bought in New york and i live in houston. Thanks guys
Although, being in Wisconsin the rust looks similar, not quite as bad, but close.
I know you guys hate road salt, but I could never live somewhere it didn't snow all winter.

Id be more concerned about the asking price with that many miles, not the rust. That rust is superficial surface rust which really is not bad at all considering where it's been the last few years.
I'd have to see the inside of the bed to make any comments about it. The wheel wells dent fairly easily from what I've noticed. Heck, it's a truck bed it's gonna get beat to hell.

Bought my F-150 XLT Super Cab pretty well loaded including 5.4 for $21.5 in July of '04. (obviously new). My brother bought a new F-150 XLT Super Crew W/5.4 and also well loaded in '07 for $20.5K. (prices were going down) My '04 isn't a 4X4 but it has 20K mi and I've added stuff since I bought it and it is TOTALLY rust free (we don't have rust in CA.) and I would sell that for $12K. Don't have to tell you I think the price on that truck IS TOTALLY NUTS! When I've been through Texas, ALL they seem to drive there is trucks, I'd think you could snap your fingers and have 50 dealers wanting to show you trucks (and without rust!) How come you guys pay so much for your trucks???
