Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
Mine were load C, 50 psi max. I ran them between 42 and 46. A little more firm on the ride, but I found they wore best and provided the best mpg at that setting.
My current P metrics I run at 40 psi.
Oh, not bad. Those load C aren't much heavier so you won't notice much from that, the tread, possibly.

Good info. I was thinking of that same range and was somewhat surprised when I gauged them this morning. I was expecting them to be aired up to 40 psi at least. The tire weight is listed at about 45lbs and my old ones were around 38lbs. I haven't taken it out on gravel roads yet to see how the suspension feels when going over washboards, etc.
I never trust the tire shop guys. I always tell them what to put it at, and they always fill them too low.
So low with my last set that my tire pressure indicator was on. They always go by the door jamb, not sure why they don't realize that higher load rating tires do in fact need a bit more air in them.
I think you'd definitely be fine airing them up to the low to mid 40 range. Plus, they will wear better and yield better mpgs.

I am going to give 42 psi a shot, maybe a touch more in the fronts.
On a side note, last time I was there at the tire store a few years ago I watched as the service person jumped in my truck to pull it into the bay. He came out right away without driving it and handed the keys to another worker. He couldn't drive a manual trans!
I always double check things like making sure all the lugs have nuts on them after any kind of tire service lol.

Haha, I've had the same thing happen. Or I just hear them revving it and the trucks not moving at all. I try to drive it into any service bays myself. 100k and my clutch is still perfect, I want to keep it that way.
There's the one and only problem I have with the place we go to - they know their stuff, manager treats us very well service and price wise. But do I ever hate to need them to put a wheel (or 4) back on. Probably another bunch that waits till an air gun is totally struggling. That's not what you do, haha
Since I PTM'd my truck, I decided to install some STX decals. They're official Ford for certain 09+ trucks. Got the pair for only $15 shipped.
The bed looked kind of bare before and I actually kind of like these.
I'm going to have the bumpers professionally painted text year anyway. The plastidip is still holding well though.

Thanks! Gives it a bit of a modern update too. May even swap to 09+ badges, only if I can find the flareside tailgate ones as those are the only ones that'll fit.
08 XL, Any like full side shots of the truck with those? I'm rarely a huge fan of decals, but those look kinda cool.
And yeah badges would be a nice touch, considering yours say XL and the decals say STX
