Drained Rear End fluid and Flushed Gears and Inside of Housing... Old Gear Oil was pretty darn Nasty.... Sanded and Painted Cover with High Heat Black Paint... Let Permatex Ultra Black sit for 12 hours... Poured in Amsoil 75W-110... Then went ahead and painted the whole rear end {black} to match the cover...

Prior to all this... My son and I cleaned underneath the whole truck with high pressure hot water.... Dropped the Spare Tire... Check Air Pressure... Applied Tire Dressing to entire tire to help preserve the rubber...

Got my truck back from the suspension shop yesterday. Unfortunately, they wouldn't leave my 2" AS level on with the 6" Skyjacker, so I'll have to put it back on later. I installed a new battery, dechromed the handles and painted the emblems this morning.

Before:

After, with stock Pirellis on Ballistic Jesters (no red trim installed):

Mine finally got fixed today. Replaced cam shaft actuator on passenger side. Last thursday while driving it all of a sudden developed a vibration and was down on power. It was the familiar "uh oh, engine just blew up" vibration. LoL. I picked the kids up from school and limped it to the mechanic.

At the shop the mechanic put a scanner on and showed 14 codes. So after his research he was hoping it was the actuator. I told him to go ahead. Got the call 20 minutes later that the new actuator had cured the issue.

Also found out the previous owner had not been good at taking care of the truck. Lots of sludge in there. I've owned it long enough for two oil changes. Those two oil changes seem to have washed the gunk and it's now moving through the engine. So he put a quart of tranny fluid in with fresh oil and I'm going to change oil every 500 miles for 5 times and hope that cleans things up. This is a recommendation by Ford actually when sludging is found.

Its been a rough few weeks. Balanced my tires. $50 noticed some uneven wear so I took it for an alignment. Needed lower ball joints. $500 Still had a vibration especially while braking. Got new pads and rotors. $380 Got a miss at 55-60 mph. Did the spark plugs. ughh. Only broke one. $200
Took a 3 hour road trip. Got a new vibration. Stopped at a driveshaft shop. New driveshaft. $550. Bleeding money.
