Because of your position, this mistake you made is going to have far reaching ramifications in your life for years to come. I don't condone drinking and driving or driving while intoxicated. On the other hand, I cannot side with all the "Holier than thou" attitudes on here. You don't need to be totally destroyed because you made a mistake. You're in for a tough time of it, and from some other things you've posted, you're already in it up to your eyeballs. You need to sort it all out and get your life back together. You got dealt a bad hand, and you just made it worse. Many people who do what you did don't get that kind of a chance. I'm glad you and your friend were OK. It doesn't always end up that way.
