Thanks guys. Please, go ahead and lock it down. I hope I opened some eyes up with my stupid bonehead mistake. Don't want to see any of you get in trouble for the same.

Don't know what I'm going to replace it with. Probably an older F150 I think. Since this loan is going to be paid off I don't want to jump into anything to big.

Glad to hear you and your passenger are OK.
We are all human.
Learn from your mistakes and better yourself from it.
Peace!

You should lose your job. Cops cannot drink and drive. They are there to set the example. How can you arrest someone for DUI after you have done this. Fine example you set.

I just wanted to chime in and say I'm sorry for what has happened. I'm glad to see that you have owned up and agreed the punishment you recieved was one you deserve.

I also just have to laugh/chuckle at all the others that say you should hang up your badge. Yes, as a police officer you are there to inforce the law, and help set an example for others. But must we not forget that your human, and I guess I haven't had the pleasure to meet the few lucky perfect humans that post on this F150 board. As I recall no human is perfect everyone makes mistakes whether it be big or small. The law has been set forth to protect and for no other reasons. So drinking and driving (maybe a larger crime and/or more dangerous) is the same as everyone driving over the speed limit. I know I do it all the time, and I shouldn't but it's in human nature to be that way. What really makes me laugh is the others that say he shouldn't be able to arrest others for the same crime, well I guess that means none of the police officers should pull anyone over for speeding since they drive over the speed limit at times.. Seriously?

Wade you made a mistake and now you are owning up to it. That first of takes a pretty big man to do, and I tip my hat to you. I wish you the best of luck through the path you have to take now, and hope you can keep your head held high. Through your post and honesty I feel that you have truly learned from your mistake, and maybe this experience can be taken as that of one to step back and look at your position in society, and how such a simple decision as getting in a vehicle and driving drunk can impact over such a large spread. I thank you for spreading the awareness over the forum, as a younger member at only 18 I beleive you set a great example by owning up to your mistake and spreading your word. Sometimes it takes experience to truly understand.

Tbird69: A slap on the wrist? So, you already know the outcome of the case? You are a knucklehead. Go back and read what I've posted so far. Nevermind, I'll make it easy for ya. Two tickets, one careless driving, one dui cite. 8 hrs in jail. Business purpose license only. Even if I get it knocked down to Reckless with dui sanctions there will be fines and penalties. I have classes to do as well. Slap on the wrist my ***.

risupercrewman: Seriously? Thnx for the support brother.

To all of you that do understand why I posted this and gave me support, thank you.

There is a ray of sunshine in all this though. Just got off the phone with insurance company. They are valuing the truck at 20,136.26. Pay off is 16K.
I would but anything I say will be used against me by bluejay.

OGT, all I did was edit one of your posts for language filter circumvention, and made no big deal about it. You PMed me and I politely explained to you the reason why. I am getting fed up with your "picked on" attitude and will not tolerate much more of your sarcasm. Either be a good citizen or go play elsewhere.

P.S. you are one ugly SOB my friend, and you have a lot of support from your fellow Deputies on PCSO from what I am reading
So is SOB ok to use?

OK got you I'll remain silent once again.

There is no need to be silent, just don't circumvent the language filter where we filter out 5 or 6 words, in an effort to keep the site a little cleaner than others. When you do a work around, that defeats the filter. I explained this to you in a PM.

SOB is not in the filter, thus we do not edit it out. Really pretty simple.

Anyway. I'm glad to see you're taking your lumps like a man instead of whining and bitching. Most importantly, DON'T EVER do it again.
Well said.

Mistakes happen, this was not an accident because accidents are unforeseeable circumstances that are out of your control. this was a mistake. You drank.. you drove.. you pay.

What was your Blood Alky level if you don't mind saying?

Anyway, glad everyone is fine and walking. Glad to see you own up to your mistake and take the horn.. after all you played with the bull.

I am surprised that the insurance company is covering this at all. I was under the impression that a wreck while DUI was not covered.. count your blessings you are not another 16k in the whole with no truck.

But with all that being said, had Wade just been the guy that picks up your trash at the local Burger King, and not a cop, firefighter, or school teacher, do you really think that it would of even made the news. NO IT WOULD NOT HAVE! I do not believe that one nights bad judement, should define his career. I believe that a sup is fine.
We all make mistakes, and If Im pretty sure that I read somewhere that MAN SHOULD NOT JUDGE UNLESS HE BE JUDGED HIMSELF. For all of you calling for his job, think about it, the next time you up, should you be fired. Everytime a public person does something stupid, the news is quick to point out that this person was a cop or firefighter or what ever, but like I said before, John Q Public gets into trouble and theres no news coverage. This guy is going through HELL, Yes He ****ED UP, if this was his second or more DUI/DWI, Id be right in line, calling for his badge.

And who ever was saying that Cops set the example for the rest of us..., Id bet your the same bunch of tards that say pro athletes are roll models for our kids. NO one sets the example for me other than my parents.
Just my two cents
X2, couldn't have said it better myself. It's been 8 years since I got a DWI and have learned my lesson. As long as he learns from his mistake he'll be fine. But like you said we all make stupid mistakes, so for those on here that think he should lose his job, well I guess yall are just damn angels that never do anything wrong. Carry on..

I did not intend the term as derogatory or insulting, and I'm sorry if anyone took it that way.

I was trying to add a little levity to a crappy situation.

But he is one mean looking guy.....

So if I go rob a bank and say "sorry, it was a mistake" then all is good??? This was not a mistake. he knew better, and decided he would drive. An accident is something out of your control. he had control but decided to not use better judgement. He is damn lucky he didn't kill someone.

my question to the op, was you companion also a cop???

I was thinking the same thing. I thought usually when you get into an accident with drugs in the system the insurance gets vioded as well as terminated(in most cases) But if the insurance pays for it that's one thing to look forward upon. Good luck.

But yeah if I were you i would get something a little cheaper just till you get on your feet again and know more of the outcome on everything.
