How are you 4.6 guys beating hemi's when the 5.4 guys are having trouble?

 

My 4.6 is a Single Cab short bed, on small *** tires with 3.55 locker. It runs 0-60 in under 7.5 IF i can get off the line without going sideways.

 

I can't wait to test my truck out in 25 more days. I don't have much done under the hood but a Edge and duel exhaust but I still want to see what it can handle ;D When I go to that cobalt meet in june I think I may play along just for ****s and giggles. mainly because I never dragged before.

 

Your not going to be the fastest thing but I think you could hold your own.

 

Oh and btw why not just try it out? If you win you win if not your most likely going to hear it for awhile but it might get old. once it does ask him for a tow match. then the rolls can be reversed ;D

 

dodge has nothin on my truck. i burn my friend in his 07 2 door 3.7 v6 with my 5.4

my best friend had a 06 2500 hemi...it was fast as helll, i got one of my friends thats a cop and at 2am on a 6 mile staight away the dodge put up a run for the super charged gran victoria, we were doing about 125 and not to far behind the cop, and this was with in the first mile, keep your mouth shut you dont want embarase yourself, my friends truck btw was bone stock, that truck had *****

No clue...I'd get blown away.

 

but in reality i don't know i have riden in the pre 06 4.6s the ones with 230HP and they felt a lot slower stock for stock than my truck.

even though i only have 18HP more at 248hp and 298TQ stock i think the intake redesign and different tuning and what not Ford did for the 06 and newer 4.6s really helped a lot or i have the 3V 4.6 and don't know it haha

 

I mean, my truck's not a dog or anything, but it's just unrealistic to think I could take on a 345hp hemi...but I never really get on the throttle enough or race anyone to worry about how fast my truck is
But I just recently got it tuned (canned tunes from edge) and it woke it up quite a bit!

 

Well, I just had an 09 Hemi with 390 hp and they are everything that they are hyped up to be. It is almost a downer coming back to the Ford 5.4. But 07 Hemis are not as powerful as the 09s, but still a lot more than the 5.4s. If he is stock (including factory tires), and a good gear ratio, I would still think he'll spank you even with the tune.
