Hi,
I am new to this site and a new 2005 F150 Supercrew Lariat owner. When I test drove the truck I swear I used the power folding mirrors but now that I have it home it doesn't seem to work. Was I imaging things when I test drove it or did they just stop working. So the real question is how do I find out if my truck does have folding mirrors or not before I go to the dealership and have them fixed under my warranty.

 

Is there a button for them? If there is, press it. If nothing happens, they're broken.

 

All the trucks have the "button" for the power mirrors, but the 05's dont say power fold on the switch. I have power folds on my 05 KR on mine, and don't know any other way to identify whether or not yours is equipped with the feature.

 

i have an 05 KR with the folding mirrors, make sure your mirror adjustment switch is in the middle when you pull it back, if you have it either left or right then you will just move the mirror instead of making them fold in.

 

doesn't it say powerfold on the glass of the mirror? that's what it says on mine

 

I was hoping for a specific thing that would say yes i have them or not. I asked a couple of my buddies that have the 2006 f150's one being a XLT and one King Ranch but they both have the same **** on their mirror adjuster swithes and the XLT owner knows he doesn't have them so i am right back to square one and will just go to the dealership and ask them to fix them.

What's your VIN number? Run the window sticker and that will tell you.

 

04-05 you could only get powerfold mirrors on a King Ranch. I believe in 06 they became optional on screw lariats and FX4. Since you have an 05 Lariat, you do not have powerfold mirrors.
