Tail Light Tint Film

im wanting to order my tail light tint film...but debating where to order from, and what level of tint to get..

theres lamin-x.com
rvinyl.com
and decalfx.com

unless yall know a diff place. thats better

and im debating between charcoal, gunsmoke, and smoked.

I got the dark smoke vinyl from rvinyl.com, looks great...

My advice: buy a sheet of it, along with rapid-tac and rapid-clear.

Its much easier to stretch and cut it to fit your tails than the pre-cuts..

I would def. do dark smoke rather than light smoke

got mine from rvinyls ebay store i believe.

definately get a sheet.
dark smoke and light smoke both look great
soapy water and a hair dryer worked great for me

well im not spending the time to do it myself, because i am going to my shop whre i get all my work on my truck done for them to do some stuff for me i got for christmas and part of my christmas present was any labor costs would be covered by my dad, so might as well let them do it twice as quick as me haha.

can yall pst some pics of what yall have? since im going for a all black truck i wanna make it its dark enough for my liking to go with all black

Check out the rockstar truck thread in the 09-10 forum. He did a lot of stuff with some kind of vinyl tint; can't remember the brand off the top of my head

my vote is for laminx, i have had a ton of experience with them, decent product and easy install.

i think ima go dark smoke deffinatly

how big of a sheet yall think i need for tail lights and 3rd brake light??

comes ine like 24X24 24X36 24X48 and so on

okay well does anybody know how well the tint holds up? i want to tint my foglights but don't know how it will look or hold up against all the elements that hit it

i had tint on my foglights for about 8 months. around that time the film started to noticably turn brown right in the middle of the fog apparently from the heat of the bulb.

i was running halogens at the time, im thinking about trying it again now that i have HIDs

i don't use my fogs much i just wanted it for looks since i have black headlights and taillights

i would just paint them.

I have black headlights (painted) and i had the dark smoke tint on my fogs and it didnt match b/c theres a lot of chrome inside the fogs
