stupid question - lug pattern?
#6
Yeah usually every other one on the smaller wheels. On bigger wheels I'v always gone across from each other and rotate clockwards. In otherwords..1-6..2-7..3-9 etc..The numbers are wrong since I'm using the clock as a reference but you get the idea. The MAIN thing is NOT to tighten them in order. If you do so the wheel can ****..rotors can warp..and wheels can come loose if re-seated by lets say a pot hole.
As long as you remember that you should always be ok.
but I'm still curious..how do you bust a wheel..did it come off or did a lug stud break..what actually broke?

Busting a wheel.
If your talking about the times when you remove the lug nuts and your wheel won't come off.
Break the lug nuts loose and turn them off about another turn then drive around and check to see if the rim broke free. This usually takes care of the problem. Just remember before you put your rims back on, put some grease or anti-seize of the back side of the rim so it doesn't get stuck again.
