Straight Piping my truck i think

alright as some of yall know my truck currently has a true-dual setup with flowmaster 40's and rear side exit pipes. Im thinking that im about to just cut it off right before my mufflers and it be dumped right there.

good or bad idea? im going to then put turn downs with some black exhaust tips...but that will take a month or so to do after i cut it.

what do yall think???

Eh... if you like the noise go for it...

Personally, I had a stack setup on my F150, and I got sick of the noise... not because it is a V6 F150, but the noise from the Flowmaster 40 drove me nutso.

Now I know... v6+flowmaster 40=horrid sounding... I've got a v8+2 flowmaster true duals on my dakota=it sounds cool, but it is very annoying.

So eh.. if the noisyness in the cab don't bother ya, then go for it.

straight pipe sounds like ***. If you want louder ditch the slowmasters and put some dynomax bullets back there. Best of both worlds, they will be way louder but still sound good and have tone unlike straight piping which will just sound raspy and loud. and they're only like 39 bucks off summit. Do it right don't halfass the job

I have straights dumped after the axle, and I like loud exhaust but I wish I would have got true dual out the side. I don't like the way it sounds dumped. I just wish mine sounded cleaner. Ive been toying with the idea of true dual Cherry Bomb extremes with an x or h pipe and side exit

That's where I'm at, and it's plenty loud!
