Last second help before I buy!!!

I am wanting just a little bit of lift in the front of my new (new to me) 2006 F150 XLT 4x4. I do NOT want to be higher in the front than the rear though. So I was thinking of going with this 1" Daystar kit. Just to add a little more of that 4x4 look to my new ride.
Can anyone tell me any reason why I should not or should go with this 1" kit??

Thanks for any help fellas. This sight has been great to me in the short time I've been a member!

I have a 2.5" front spacer on my FX4 and it sits about a half inch lower in the front than rear. I would suggest a 2" Hell Bent Steel spacer or an AutoSpring spacer

Go with an AS 1 1/2" spacer.

at least 1.5" if not 2". I honestly think after you go through the work of only adding one inch you may leave yourself wanting more. If you are still not sure you can always go measure your front fender hight from the ground then use a floor jack to raise the truck 1" then 1.5" then 2" see what you like the most.

I say 1 1/2" AS because when I put a 2" AS on my truck it raised the front about 2 1/2". Weird how that works.

I've got a 2"' Auto Spring on mine and it is perfect. A 1" will still have a slight rake.

That does bring up a good point, below is an excerpt from a post I did a while back discussing spacer thickness. Looks like AS may be a little larger than others. From what I have discovered and AS 2" = Hellbent 2.5".

This means the 2.5 HBS = the 2 AS....

So is AS or HBS better? I want to add a leveling kit on mine and put a airbag in the rear so it doesn't get the ghetto lean when i tow.. What would be best?

This is probably one of those six of one half a dozen of another answers. They both have great reviews. I have the 2.5" AS and love it, very well built. If you get an AS make sure you get the powder coated version (advertised as PC)

Will this actually work like that? Just jack it up to where I want it then buy a leveling kit that is about 1/2" shorter?
STUPID NEXT QUESTION: Where should I place the jack to get just the body to lift like it will with a level kit, without damaging the truck that is?:o
Again, I'm brand new to this truck and to lifting/leveling trucks at all...
