Rear lift block removal?
So in a nut shell a lowered truck will handle the street better with improved gas mileage, ride better, cornering with less roll, and may accelerate faster. Plus you can go places without people you don't know asking you to take their picture in front of your truck.

Besides all that, there are medical benefits to lowing a 4x4 if your getting to old to climb in and out of a lifted truck. Plus, keep in mind there is still a lot of clearance in a lowered 4wd when compared to a typical car.
My 4x4 is moded to my preference to meet my needs and still looks good and I love the way it rides and handles, and sometimes when I arrive home I'm overwhelm with the feeling that the drive was too short. Thanks for asking.
. I like my truck to look like a street truck and performe in all weather!

since we are on the subject, could you get a 2wd 2/5inch drop to work on a 4x4? The only issue i can think of is the cv shaft angle changing- but if the actual angle of the cv shaft after dropping it is no different than what it is now with a 2.5inch as spacer (just reversed) it shouldnt be too big of an issue correct?
I had a 02 ranger that i lowered 2inches front and rear, it hadled a hell of alot better, was alot more confortable on the highway and got better mpg (abour 1-1.5mpg @75). I got alot of hate but i dont care, its my truck hah

also heres a write up, with pics, of the kit being installed on a 4wd. just ignore the part about measuring from the center of the wheel, because they obviously measured from the ground.

New u-bolt plate? You mean the bottom bracket that the nuts sit on under the axle? No, no need too.
It will work though, Cheers
Ok, so you have the HD u-bolts and the HD nuts to go with them, how much bigger are the HD ones. The standard ones are 14mm and use a 21mm socket on the nut.
this 3.5/5 kit is made to fit both 2wd and 4wd.

will i need to buy 2wd front springs/struts
They are beefy!!!
WoW
I knew they were bigger but I did not know they were that big. Also i did not know they would fit the standard plate
That's one less part to buy if you upgrade to heavy duty u-bolts.
I knew they were bigger but I did not know they were that big. Also i did not know they would fit the standard plate back on track
i took my rear block out a couple days ago but the rainy weather has been keeping me from getting the leveling kit off the front. i did manage to get the bull bar off today though. ive got some air bags and load adjusting shocks on the back so i think mine is still up a little higher than a 2wd in the rear but im gonna have to fab up some mounting brackets to relocate the bags to go any lower
Thanks for the question LinconMarkLT20...
I wanted to level my 4X4 and didn't want to go up and never park in most public garages anymore, my 97 year old Mother likes to ride in the truck and going up would make it harder getting her in, I like the full wheel wells look and don't want to go larger than 34" tires, and as already stated, lower vehicles are more aerodynamic and handle better so after considering spacers or adding an inch or 2 with my Blisteins I was considering looking for an inch smaller block.
After reading this post im going to pull my blocks and install a Firestone Ride Right kit for when I haul and tow.
Thanks Fellas for the info.

Hey has any body seen like a weight on the back driver side? I installed the passenger shackle but I can't install the driver side shackle because one the driver side there is like a weight our some thing and it wont let me remove the bolt out so I can remove the fractory shackle.
