Question please help replacing hubs/rotors..

hello to all.

well with school and work ive been driving my truck more and really need to replace my hubs this weekend. they humm (bearings) like theres no tomorrow. ive been pricing around town and the install is more than what i paid for the parts. so i decided to do it my self. im no mechanic but do know my tools ive done all the mods my self so i dont see why i cant change my rotors hopefully i already have the replacements for both sides and thinking of buying the break pads as well if i can come up with the money.

if any one has any info like the tools i would need or links on how to do this i would really appreciate it. ive done some searching but no 04-08 come out thanks...

this is a link im gonna go off of but need a bit more guidence if possible...

You need an alldatadiy account or a chilton manual. I'd like to help but I have no ideal on the 2wd's.

Aren't the bearings and rotors all one piece on the 2wd ? I don't have 2wd but I've read that in another thread somewhere, that's why they're so expensive.

The early 04's had the the traditional setup on the front wheel bearings on 2wd. Not sure when the switch was made to the one piece design.

basically it is simple.

1st remove wheel 6 lugs
2nd remove caliper 2 bolts
3rd remove caliper bracket 2 bolts
4th remove center nut 36mm socket
5th remove rotor/hub assembly

installation is reverse of removal

it is really easy to do if you know how to use basic hand tools.

Bingo, just done it two moths ago. Go rent the 36mm socket from autozone and return it when done. Eat your wheaties to get that bad boy off.

Don't forget a small and large torque wrench to get all the nuts and bolts to spec. Very important...
