Stolen, Joyridden, Abused, and Recovered

Hey guys... thought I'd share some of my recent news with the forums. Been a Ford owner for 2 months, had an 07 4x4 Super Crew, and loved it. Installed the 2.5 AS leveling kit, 295 Nitto's, etc.. Had it just like I wanted it for about 2 weeks, then it got stolen from my house last week.

Luckily, it didnt have much gas left in it, and they didnt make it far, but they managed to take out a few mailboxes, and street signs, and various cornfield equipment out in the country before it ground to a halt. The cops recovered it, and the insurance company is going to fix it, which makes me happy. Should have my baby back (with a host of new parts and paint) in a couple weeks!

Working on a couple leads.. sounds like some high school punks

The damage:

I wondered the same. From what I could re-trace it looks like they hooked it on something big, like one of the county road signs that wasn't completely buried, but had some cement sticking up out of it (like a "Stop Ahead" sign or something like that).

In either case, the insurance company is paying to replace the entire front sub-frame assembly, instead of trying to bend the frame back straight, so that makes me feel good. New Axles, new LCA, all that stuff. We will see how it turns out!

they probably jumped the truck. Aluminum takes slow stress, but not high impact.

Sucks man. Hope they get a little street justice in the near future. How did they get in and get it started? Just curious.

If you find the punks, be sure to cripple them for life.
