DVD Headunits - Help

1st off, I am an complete Audio Illiterate. Litterally am a Power On/Off, volume Up/Down and nothing else kinda guy...so I really need some help from some of y'all experts here

I need some help picking a headunit. I want one of those fancy Pioneer touchscreen setups. I'll also be installing 4 DVD monitor headrests for the kids and need a in-dash player to power them...if one exists
Here is what I've found that I think will suit my needs just fine...no desire for Navigation..nor need. Got an iPhone for that stuff
Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD

But I cannot tell if this headunit has a output to power the 4 monitors.

suggestions? more info?

TIA

edit: BTW, my budget is about $1,500 for the whole setup of Headunit + monitors...so cheaper is better, as long as it works.

Looks like 1 video output, try one of these...

That will get your video going. Have you looked into IR headphones for the kids?

cool gadget

well the link I provided is worthless. It doesn't support dual or tri audio...so either I listen to the kids movie...or I gotta go with a Navi unit with does have the multiple audio outlets

at double/triple the price of course

I would assume the signal could be split to the 4 headrests from the single output. I am not sure if there would be need for some sort of signal amplifier but I can say the 4100 is a great headunit. I have had mine for over a month now and don't regret getting it.

I am powering my monitors off my Avic-D3, I had to use a splitter/amplifier to get a good picture with both monitors going, the item I used was a clarion piece part #VA700, I know they also make bigger ones to split to even more screens.

Where are you putting 4 monitors in these trucks? I can see one in each headrest for the rear seat... but where are the other two going?

Yeah, it's an Expy

I know alot of guys have these headubits in their F150s and figured this would be the ideal place for some advice...especially as the 2 vehicles are almost identical

okay, getting closer to pulling the trigger

I'm about 99% certain I'm going to buy a DDX714 Kenwood unit.

now I'm shopping for headrest monitors.

found these, and they look pretty good. But I'm not sure if I should cheap it out, or go spend the $$$ for name brand stuff. damn tempted for these though...especially as I can get 4 of them from between $600-800 shipped
seem like a good idea?
