is there a better place to buy OEM black painted door handles than the dealerships? what about ptm mirror caps?

if so, where do you recommend?

 

Cheapest will be to just have someone paint them. It cost me $300 to get my handles and mirrors done. Dealership wanted $300 just for the handles w/o instalation. I seen some on ebay a while back for pretty cheap.

the dealer is the only place that sells handles that come bare and ready to paint, just order handles for a harley f150 and they will come smooth but without paint. mirror caps. do you have the mirrors that have separate caps? if your mirror don't have a chrome cap/or is already painted, you cannot use the mirrors caps, you would need to sand the top half and have it painted.

 

you're saying that the painted top part of the harley/fx2/fx4 is not just a cap that is stuck on but actually the whole piece with only part painted?

if so, that's weird

 

Tasca has LT handles that come already painted, in multiple different paint codes.

 

those mirrors the front skull is 2 pieces, not 1 solid black piece like on a xlt or a normal signal mirror.

 

I bought 4 door handles and the tailgate handle in the smooth black with LT chrome pull for $145 shipped from autoanything.com. Then got them painted for $100.

 

i bought Harley F150 handles from Tascaford.com (smooth, no texture) for around $150 for all 3 and then had them painted black to match.

 

i will be calling tasca then.

 

When you call ask for me, I have the complete list of all the handle part numbers on my desk.

 

Hey, Domenic... thanks for helping out here... Quick question, other than the LT handles, do you have any PTM (smooth) handles that are pre-painted? I don't want the chrome handle... all black would be preferable. Just thought I'd check...

They don't make them, they are only available primed. I do have a body shop here. I have them getting me a price to paint them.

 

swow this forum gets alota help. yea your best bet is buying the handles in just plastic black and getting a paint shop to paint them the same colorcode as ur truck. i think im gunnu do the handles with a chrome handle and have the rest of it painted the black of my truck
