customizing interior

Has anyone improved or customized the interior of these trucks? To me the F150 interior is nice but it is very plain and truckly. There are no frills, just a hard plastic interior. I would like to customize my interior but I am not sure exactly what can be done to make them a lot better. I am working on a center console to replace the jump seat. My truck came with cloth seats so I want to get leather seats. Do the trucks that come from the factory with leather seats have better interiors or is it all just plastic too. Any ideas and/or pictures would be great too. Thanks

The Lariats and King Ranches have much nicer interiors. You must have the same interior as I do ( XLT with 40/20/40 bench )

Heres a Lariat,

Heres a King Ranch,

And an FX4,

Maybe some tasteful dash kit would help it look better. You could also get custom seat covers to replace the OEM seat covers.

I had the even more plain STX interior, and for not much money at all, I put FX4 vents, a leather wrapped steering wheel out of an FX4, an XLT cluster on my truck. I plan to put the carbon fiber radio bezel, some gauge face overlays, an overhead console and some black seats in it to liven things up a little bit.

Moss Motors has some nice dress up stuff. I've got their chrome a/c switch covers that match the chrome on the air vents. Also have their leather arm rest covers that are functional and look good with grey interiors. Put in a white face guage cluster and replaced my jump seat with a console (that's my favorite interior change so far) off E-Bay.

Those are all some great ideas. Thanks for the help. Anyone else? Keep the ideas coming. Travis08, are those actually recovered seats or are they just covers over the stock material? I have the Igee covers and they look really nice but I want true leather seats and not just covers.

This truck was orig an FX4, I believe that's what they come with, besides the FTX conversion put the suede stripe in the middle. I guess I haven't seen the interior of an FX4.
