What's the #1 complaint about '04-'08 F150s

So far my '06 F150 has had absolutely zero problems (I'm knocking on wood). Unfortunately some people have had big time problems no matter what make of truck they buy. What do you think would be the most complained about problem with 2004-2008 F150s?

I think it's probably the spark plug issue (breaking).

I'm not Ford bashing here either...I don't think there is such thing as a "perfect" 1/2 ton truck ever manufactured. I'm really happy with my truck's reliability so far.

Probably lack of power/poor throttle response, especially if you've driven/owned a previous generation F150.

Not enough power along with the hesitation when acelerating. All corrected with a tuner.

Then, the sparkplug mess.

The cloth seats show everything!!! They're pure crap, and a poor design, especially for a truck.

The seat covers I bought took care of that, and they make the inside look much better.

BTW, I have no complaints about the power.

Yes, the cloth seats are a disappointment to say the least.

the powertrain and locking hub system. Very prone to failure. The spark plug is a major issue as well. I know I am missing something and it's getting under my skin.

I would say the Spark Plugs.

All the other stuff is primarily a Trim Level issue (the Cloth seats, and 4.6 motor). I think the 5.4 had enough power OEM...but there is always room for more

you forget the exhaust manifold Josiah? the OEM drivetrain is pretty stout IMO...most of us don't drive our trucks like you do

I'd have to say they are too popular. Every where I look there is an F150. You have to do a lot of work if you want yours to stand out.

I can't believe nobody has said the 3rd brake light leak issue yet. I thought it was just my truck until I saw on here that many others experienced the same problem I was having.

That could be because Ford sells 25% of their trucks in Texas.

It's easy to get over it when you look at these four door trucks.
