If you had to do it all over again..
No regrets here, AT ALL.
In fact I'm going to do more towing and test drove an 08 F250 and LOVED IT, but I could not part with the F150 we've got now. It's fun to drive and I just love the aesthetics.
Once we finish paying it off we'll look into a used F250.

)
08 F250 FX4 (Red or Black) 6.4L TT, 12" rize 4 link, Deavers, King shocks/coils, 22" Incubus Grim rims, 40" Toyo MT's, 4.88 Yukon Gears, Mag-Hytech Diff covers & trans pan, Bullydog, MBRP exhaust, lots of PTM w/ subtle chrome accents, stereo, etc, etc.... Basically my 150 in a 250 form
I love my 150 and dont regret a thing ive done or buying it, It serves my needs right now perfectly. The next one is going to be a Superduty though, you could say im addicted to modding and love the "build" of a truck. As long as ive got money to spare ill be modding my trucks like no buddys business

If I had a choice to do it all over again... hmm...
I'd go back to my '99 F150, put a lowering kit on it with air bags, turbo it, smoke stacks, tool box, roll top cover, tint, satellite TV, BlueRay, 22" screen for the back seat passengers, of course some sick surround sound system, not to mention a hydraulic dump bed conversion.

One Thing....
Only thing I may have changed whould have been to have bought the same truck but a Screw with the 5.5' Styleside Bed...
But I love my Flared Scab!!! And now that I hit the 36 k mark...
The REAL Mods have started!!!

AirAid modular intake tube, K&N filter, Magnaflow Exhaust, Line-X'd bed and fender wells, 2.5 Inch AS Level Kit and 3 inch AS Rear Block, 1 Mile range Viper 5900 SST remote start and alarm system, JL Audio Stealthbox, JL Audio 500/1, JL Audio 300/4, Alpine Type-R 6.5 inch components in front doors, Alpine Type-R 5x7's in rear doors, Alpine Iva-w505, LOTS of Dynamat, 15% Tinted windows, Billet Grills in factory H-bar and lower bumper.

I have two ways to look at this question. If I had to do my F150 again, I would go with lariat or FX4 for the leather. I'm satisfied with the gadgets but I dont like the cloth. I wanted cloth and now I dont. Like the configuration of the truck overall and get enjoyment out of driving it.
The other route is that I too came from a superduty and miss the diesel torque. 500ft-lbs at 1200 rpm is the way to go in a truck.
I would consider a superduty or a mega cab dodge. I'm not in love with the dodge, but that 5.7 cummins easily gets 19+mpg with nothing more than a cold air kit.
I'm really excited about the 09, but thinking financially its not a smart move when I have a perfectly good truck that is 100% mine (no note).

That is the question I was asking when I had my 01. I knew if I were to do it again I would want power rear slider, heated seats, and 373 axle in a red 4x2. In the end I found it all in a red 4x4.
I wouldn't have got the 18" 'premium' wheels for my FX4. While I think they look better then the 17" stockers, finding an LT275/65R18 tire that isn't a 10-ply load range E is a bitch.
Other then that, if I could do it again I probably would have got an AF1 intake instead of the K&N 57 series - and I probably would have got my tune earlier.

No, I would have kept my old car. I love my truck but it was an impulse buy and with gas going up/down I'd rather have a car that gets good gas mileage. I have no need for a truck on a daily basis but it does come in handy.
I'm still going to hang onto it for a number of years because I can't get rid of it.
