High Capacity Trany Pan

I've been told it'll drop my fluid temp by 50. Has anyone put one of theses on and are they worth the money? Any recommendations on where to order from.

Thanks

not sure how much the temp will drop but it will run cooler. another benefit would be a drain hole. most aftermarket tranny pans have oil drain holes making oil changes much easier

Full of ****.

Get a Powerstroke transmission cooler and remove the inline t-stat if you really want to drop temps.

The MagHytech deep pan is pretty darn good. I think it added something like 7 more quarts or so. Its been awhile, but I like it fine. Don't have temp guage tho, can't tell ya how much the temp dropped.

Where is the inline t-stat located for the tranny and where is the one for the coolant? I'd like to change both as I'm running hot on everything out at pismo.

I was going to ask the same question myself. I have also been interested in swaping it out.

Is there a lower temp thermostat that it could be replaced with?

http://www.atiperformanceproducts.co...ranscooler.htm

That could possibly be one, if they're inline they should be relatively universal.

180 is what it currently is, you can modify it, but you have to make it forced open.
