Removed Front Chin on Stock XLT (PICS)

Just to see how it looked! I actually like it a lot! Took about 10 minutes to take off. Just bolted on with about 15 bolts. I'm going to keep it off. Gives a lot more ground clearance. This is a stock 2006 Supercrew cab F150 no leveling kit or anything with stock tires and stock rims.

Tell me what you think!

What is the thin single loop line that sits in front of the cross member?

can you post a shot from normal viewing height? It would look better when you don't see the chin attachment points. It looks better on a vehicle without foglamps.

If you like it like that then I would suggest that you go the extra step and grind off or cut off the tabs that are hanging down...IMO... Other than that it looks good!!!

i gotta agree with lil man, if you really like that look take the time to make it look like the valance wasnt just ripped off.

I personally think it looks unfinished, as if you snagged something and just left the front battle scarred. I would make a nice low profile valance out of glass or something if i really needed that much clearance. Your front crossmember is still lower so your only gaining a minimal amount of leading edge clearance.

Here are some more. IDK, I kinda like it, but I also think it will look better in day light. And BTW, the pieces of metal that you can see, they are actually chrome too, they just havent been cleaned in 2 years so they are a little dirty and look like unpolished metal. I will clean them tomarro.
