Driving home from a buddy's house, and got called out on a empty street at a light with some dude in a Acura. He kept playing with me, reving his tin can up and finally after a few min of restraint I had to see what I could do with him. Well, with my 87 Custom Tune and 4.10's I pulled and made it through the intersection first but it wasnt but a tick after that and I was looking at the neon liscense plate getting dimmer..... lol Heavy Azz Truck! If I could have caught back up with him I would have run over his butt!


REVENGE


Made it to the house and got into the GT, rode around to the local tuner hangouts, and wasnt long before I caught up with him again. Once again he started it first, playing with each other "with in the speed limit" until we got to an intersection where there were no other cars, and the only other drive way was about 1/4 mile down the road, so I wasnt worried about someone pulling out of anywhere. Light turned green, and it was over, beat him through the intersection, and didnt let up till Ishifted into 3rd!! Smoked his Ricer Azz!!!! Feels great to hear that American Muscle drown out the high pitched crys of those ricer boyz and ther toyz!

I saw a bumper sticker the other day on a Camaro, I liked it!

And before I get flamed, all this took place on the outskirts of town, on a straight away with no side streets!

haven't driven a Mustang lately have you? Camaro and T/a are even better with the 6 speeds.

the 2003 Mustang I just got rid of was 17+ mpg city and upwards of 30 MPG highway...oh yeah, it was a GT, not the V-6. on the other hand, my 95 w/ v-6 got 20+ city and 28-29 highway.

that's better than alot of these "fuel efficient" death-traps everybody seems so fond of and apparently ditching their trucks for. I just don't understand why people equate V-8 to gas guzzler and I-4 to gas sipper.

You arent kidding, I am amazed at what some of the guys are capable of doing with these 4 bangers. Hat's off to them! They sound a little strange and akward from a v8, but to get a 4 banger to do a 1/4 in 14 or less, that's impressive!

Trust me, I didnt just jump into a race with the guy, I looked, listened, and paid close attention to the sounds coming from that car. Nothing that lead me to believe he was running anything but a N/A motor. Unless he had a bottle some where, but Im almost positive he was all motor, Cai, Exhaust.

That's a good story, I've been there too, but remember, keep the racing on the track when at all possible. I'm sure everybody knows this?

This is why I have so much fun driving my F150 Nitemare. Everyone thinks...."ah heavy ford truck thinks he is fast with those spoilers". Then the light turns green and I wave bye bye! BTW my truck runs 13.5 in the 1/4. And with current mods I knocking on 12's. I haven't lost yet, but I did have a pretty good run with a Stage 1 SRT4. We were neck and neck, but pulled it out in the end. Titan trucks are my favorite kills. I got picked on all the time with my old F150, so revenge is sweet!

But I feel you. If I got beat in my truck, I just go home and get my Supercharged Mustang. Either way, I win.

I hope you were joking. Regardless my car can get 26 mpg, easily, on my gas mileage tune. It's also got the same WOT performance.
