From what I've read on here about them we can't use a lightning supercharger because we have the 3 valve heads and the lightning setup is for a 2 valve.

I am pretty sure the intake on the Lightning blower 99-04 set-up will not work on the new 3 valve heads 04-09. You would need to go aftermarket set-up IE Whipple, Roush, Saleen, Magnacharger etc.. Beat me to it...

Are the Lightning, Mustange Cobra and the Roush SC all basically using the same M113 Eaton Supercharger? But using a different intake manifold for the different motors

Why is that?
New superchargers are very inexpensive compared to what they cost in the past.

because they are still expensive to some people, also i would say he said it sucks because im guessing he found a great deal on a lightning sc, and would be cheaper(if it would just bolt on) then a new sc

Yea that does suck it wont swap over, however the 3v headers are better for making power, so once you can afford a supercharger, youll probably put out more power then a stock lightning. But the weight is what holds you back.

Maybe, maybe not.

A 2004 Lightning weighs in at 4670 lbs.

A 2008 Standard Cab regular box 2WD 5.4 weighs in at around 4700 lbs.

Just because it does not fit on your truck, does not mean you can't make a deal work in your favor.
