Gas station going 10% ethanol
Gas station going 10% ethanol
2004 f-150, 5.4. The gas station I use is going to 10% ethanol. In my owners manual it says not to use any gas containing methanol or damage will occur to fuel components or something like that. It doesn't mention ethanol, so whats the difference and is anyone using it or can we even run with it ? Appreciate any advice.
Yeah i guess that most of the stations now a days are already using ethanol in the gasoline. I got gas about a month ago and after filling up the tank i realized that it had 10% ethanol in it, I got a little worried but nothing ever happend.

I'm surprised some of you didn't see a loss in mileage, there were threads about it a year or so ago when it was being introduced.
