Every gas station around me and everywhere I go has been using 10% for well over a year now. Old news in my parts

You know, I'm wrong when I said a 10% loss. It isn't that much. I'm tired today. I went from about 17 mpg plus or minus to 16.4 plus or minus. So say half a mpg.

I'm surprised some of you didn't see a loss in mileage, there were threads about it a year or so ago when it was being introduced.
It's all in the head, there's only 10% mixed in. Out of an average 30 gallon fill, 3 gallons would be ethanol, the other 27 is regular gasoline.

If you're saying the loss is in my head, it isn't. I have it documented on a spreadsheet. I keep detailed records of each fillup, where I bought it, how I drove, etc. Have it for 65,000 miles. Just something I enjoy keeping up with as I am supposed to be an accounting type.

This great state of Montana is about a year behind the main stay for the rest of the country, been that way since I moved here in 1971

Most cities requires a 10% ethanol blend as do some entire states. One advantage to living in the sticks is the ability to buy 100% gas.

It is a payoff to the corporate farm cartel. Corn should be used for feed. Make ethanol from cellulose.

I've been burning 10% ethanol since 1977, when it was first introduced in the midwest...

It has been around for many years. Years ago, watered down gas with ethanol was 15-20% cheaper than pure gas.

I can't remember if it was just the state of Missouri or nationwide but there was a story on the news a couple of months ago that all gas except the premium will be required to have 10% ethanol in it. At least that is what the law makers were trying to get passed.

Maybe that's what's going on, I'll have to check it out. Thanks, I don't want to spend the extra $ on premium, no benefit and waste of money, I'm stock sad to say.
