leave it alone or drop

HEy guys,

first of all I am going to say that I am 16 with a part time job after school that I make 8 bucks an hour. I have a 2wd truck and after all of these 2wd lifted threads, its tempting me to save up and lift it. The only thing is that if I do this I wont have much money to have fun and do things I like like driving around wasting gas and such. I have been asking people about lifting it and everyone says they like my truck the way it is. Do you guys think I should leave it the way it is or bite the bullet and save up for a lift and new tires? If I keep it the way it is, what appearence stuff should I do to it??? Pics are of it before I had rainguards and pinstriping removed and I took off the bed cover.

Since your 16 and making $8/hour, leave the truck the way it is and use your money for other stuff, like gas, taking your GF to the movies, ect. I am guessing that you probably already have one of the nicest vehicles at your school. So leave it at that, IMO.

When I was 17 I traded in the Ranger that I bought at 15 for my 94 F150 4X4 (that I still have) this was in 1996 so the truck was only 2 years old. Then I put wheels and tires on it along with a tool box and a put a system in it, all within the first 2 months of having it. Just after I got most of that stuff done someone went and keyed the drivers door and tailgate, I am guessing because they were jealous of what I had worked hard for. The marks are still there and it pisses me off everytime I see them, even though it was 11.5 years ago. I would just hate to see something like this happen to you.

Hmmmm, bite the bullet and save up for a lift huh???? You should be saving some kind of money no matter what. Either way you go with it is not going to make or break you in the fuel economy. I think you should do what you think is the best. Look around at some galleries and figure out what you really want, offroad or street. I think with a 2/4" drop your truck would sit pretty nice. You could pick up a AS spacer for cheap and throw it on. If you dont like it you are not losing your *** and could easily sell it.

yea man I think I am leaning that way of leaving it the way it is. I wanna add a few more things to it. Yesterday I had the two front windows tinted and today I got silverstars. Next I wanna do something about the rims/door handles. I would love some OEM 20's or the saleen wheels I think they are sooo sick. I would seriously beat the living **** out of a person of they keyed my car and I found out who it was. I work hard to put stuff on my truck and stuff like that goes down. I am glad nothing has happened yet to it but then again I am tall and big... and I dont really have many enemys.
