Silver Star/ HID lights?

I was wondering what type of silver star or HID lights will fit on my 2005 F150 XL. I've seen at Walmart they have the 9005, 9006, 9008 but im not sure which ones i can use for my truck. Please help. thanks.

dont bother with silverstars yeah they are the best halogen light bulb but why not spend a little bit more for hid's? for the very little more cost they are a ton brighter unlike silverstars which are a tad brighter the stock

I am currently running Silverstars in both my heads and fogs (H13/9008 in heads and 9005 in fogs) They are much better than the stock halogens, but if I keep the truck I am going to swap HID's into both this summer.

you need to kit for the wiring harness etc. the stock wiring cannot support the HID bulbs.

actually no... hids run cooler, and with less electricity then your stock headlights.

you need the kit for the wiring yes... but most importantly the igniter and ballast.

I got em'

I put the Silverstar H13 bulbs in my 05' and I think that they were worth every penny...I actually got them at Advanced Auto on sale for like $27...don't know if they are still that price, I would have gone with the new Silverstar Ultra's but they didn't have any on hand at the time... the Silverstars are supposed to be 35% brighter than stock and the Ultra's are 50% brighter.
I say do it...
HID's are nice but too pricey for me.

Are you guys that are going the HID route doing everybody a favor and changing to a housing the gives you the proper cutoff?

There's beginning to be a lot of idiots around my area that are not. You may as well be shining a one million candlepower spotlight into the eyes of oncoming traffic. I was completely blinded by a guy in a Dodge just about a week ago with a rigged HID setup. By far the worst one that I have encountered but none of them are a lot of fun to meet on the road.

silver stars are not HIDS lets get that out of the way first of all. I have had zenon's and now have HID's once you get REAL HID'S you'll wonder how you ever lived with out them the best part is people move right out of your way when you get behind them with hids in the heads and fogs I'd hate me to if I were them
