what made me want to do this mod was when the ez down first came out(or atleast when f150online found out about it) i actually mentioned doing this (do a search for ez down and my post is on the first page of the tailgae assit thread, i think), and really i cant think of how it can come in handy but im sure some day it will but untill then its just bad ***

Im guessing no auto up? if you did a power acuator it could be done, or a rigged window motor or something. would take more creativity tho
yeah a power actuator would have been much easier but i think this has a bit more of a factory appeal to it and i like that, and my theory is if i have to open it i will be back there for something so i can close it......i could open it too i guess but thats just not as cool and ive thought of doing some sort of window motor or something like that...maybe some day

very slick mod. Just an alternate question though: where the video is looks like you added a start button to the dash, if so was this a hard mod and where did you find the parts? I had this on a dodge I owned and always liked it. Sorry the hijack the thread

Thanks

Sorry have not been on in a few days (New Baby born) Just Found the other thread.

the button was easy to install but i wouldnt recommend it unless if you had a remote start alarm that has the option of adding a button, but its a button from a honda s2000 and only requires 3 wires if you dont have an alarm and 2 if you do...

Second side note.
How are you liking the CA-671? I'm very close to getting that one but am waiting for a email back from Travis at KC Autosound regarding a couple questions I had first. Where did you get yours from?

That mod is soooo July 2005 ... via myst.

Seriously though, nice mod. I just wish I had any such skills to perform such a mod; guess I'll stick to banging on the keyboard.

So why did the F150store stop selling the Droptail kit? Was it just not selling? Perhaps it was the $300+/- sell price! Doh!
