Need screw w/short box low-pro tool box info

Wife bought a full size tool box from Tractor Supply but I don't like it. I returned it for the low-profile version but the guy said no one made a low-pro for the screw with short box. Need to find out where and how much for a black one. Thanks!

You can get a low profile black toolbox at Tractor Supply. What is so special about one for the short bed? Is it slimmer or what?

Look under the "toolbox ugly or not" thread on the second or third page back. there are several makers of low profile boxes. But personally i would go with the weatherguard Model 121-0-01 Low Profile Aluminum Saddle Box. They are a little pricy but they are well worth it in there durability. I had a 10 yr old box on my 97 but just bought a 127 when i got my 04.

Go with Camlocker

I've had Camlocker toolboxes on all my Fords and finally bought a low profile for my screw. On my white screw I went with a Super Duty deep box. Since my '06 looks more sporty, I went with a low profile regular depth box. I love it.

If you look at Camlockers second pic you'll see that our setup puts the wheel wells really close to the cab. Most boxes are to "deep" and will hit the wells.

There is a different version of the lo-pro boxes. I noticed mine has all four corners of the box portion Square, if that makes sense. But the one Thumper has the front corners of the box portion are angled, kinda like they compensate for the wheel well's...both fit I can tell you that.

Thumper's box..

I guess I'll be calling around. We don't have a UWS dealer closer then 45 minutes away. Are there any other brands you know of? I know Patesha has a TSC and I'm waiting to see if he can find a model number for me.

Anyone else have any info. UWS is out of the office until Jan. The closest dealer from me must be off as well cause no one is answering the phone.

I'm under the impression that UWS has a great rep. but what else is out the that can be found easily.
