Is this problem common on the 5.4 or 4.6 engines? No one has stated which engine they have. Just wondering if it makes a difference.

5.4's. Havent't seen anything on the 4.6

It is specific to the 5.4 3V used in 2004 and newer.

Why wouldn't Ford use the 4.6 3V in the F150? It's too close in power to the 5.4

For the people that say the dealer broke them when they changed them...what is the consequence of this? Doesn't the dealer have to pay for anything they break? What's the difference if they break because you're paying them to change them and if it breaks it's there fault isn't it?

Should't they pay for any damage associated with the plugs they break?

I changed mine at 30k followed the TSB all came out very easy

My truck is a 04 and I have had it tuned and run 92oct since 5k

20% of the respondents have had broken sparkplugs so far. It sounds to me like you have proven that there is a problem. I have owned 25 vehicles (4 of them motorcycles) and I have been changing sparkplugs in my own vehicles for 23 years and I have never broken a sparkplug in any of them. It has to be more than a coincidence.
