Im thinking about getting some PTM mirror caps or just painting the whole entire mirror and everything.

Looks better painted. I have half chrome caps on my KR mirrors.

 

I like mine painted.

 

I don't think that you can buy the cap portion seperately -- at least not the OEM -- unless something has recently changed.

 

Your right, i read somewhere on here that it is a snap in-out portion on the new 07's and wont fit anything else. Ill see if I can find the thread. I think im just going to sand my top caps and do a ptm on them, that would be too much red for me if I painted the whole thing. .

Those are 'stick on'... not OEM. To each their own but, I've never been much on stick on goodies.

I guess that, theoretically, you could paint the stick on and go that route... *shrugs*.

If you find anything out please post it or PM me. I need to replace my drivers side mirror from my 07 which has a painted cap. My current cap is ok, so if I can get any 07 mirror and not have to pay for a new cap or get one painted it would help.
