Talking Early xmas/divorce gift!!!

As my early xmas/divorce gift to myself, I went and bought Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks!!! I pulled the old shocks off last night and I'm trying to find a shop to change out the coils this morning. I'll finish it up today and my new tires are showing up on Thursday. Here is the before pictures (sorry for the crappy cell pics) and I'll take another pic ones the shocks are on then when I get the tires.

They are reinforced 2x4s......

Nah, they are just holding up the control arms and keeping pressure off the brake lines. But I thought it looked kinda funny.

Without being able to see your jackstands, it looks like a nice piece of rednek engineering!

So I had an issue at the shop where I took my shocks...

I had the ride height set on the shock where I wanted it. The mechanic who did the work took it upon himself to move the snap ring back to the stock position. I didn't realize it until I had them installed in the truck.

I was not a happy camper!!!!

So I removed them AGAIN. Took them back to the shop so they could move the snapring and reinstalled them. So here is the outcome.

Now I just have to wait till Thursday when my 295/70R18 Terra Grapplers show up!
