I mean this is their "allstar" combo, 3.5 af1, maggie, and 93 perf tune, and right now it is such a disappointment. If the tire compound is causing my truck to be a turd off the line, what tires are you guys running on your "stock monsters"?
I am running pirelli str 10ply 265 70 17 49lbs each, they grip much better than my stockers but I can still scratch second in town and spin them big from a stop. They don't leave rubber but you can hear them squeal if I floor it under 20 until it shifts. With the stock continental 255 65 17 34lbs, I could roast them off the line no problem and spin them threw first gear and then leave black marks when it shifted to second.

BTW I am not stock

Standing start mine barely peels out. Then the blower kicks in and i'm moving...

A better tune though would help the bottom end power for sure. It's still on the "vortech" setup from about 3500rpm and below.

You could try doing a brakestand to heat up the tires a little bit. However, in a l/s, you won't get much luck...

I think some trucks have anomalies in their torque management / traction control strategies.

Mine won't do squat without a brakestand unless I lock it into 1st. It lays down a nice unassisted two track then.

Invitation accepted. I still can't believe I haven't seen you around town, although I spend more time in TN than I do at home.

One of my buddies is going to let me drive this as soon as I work up the nerve to strap in.

I'm a lot more nervous about wrecking his ride than he is.

How are the stock BFG A/T 18" on the chrome package XLT's? They give good or poor traction?

My tires break lose all the time. Its alittle annoying if I'm at the light and I think the guy next to me might want to race I have to be careful to gas it enough to get ahead of him but not so much as to burn out, and look like an ***. My tires have plenty of tread there not "worn" as some might be thinking.
I haven't seen how long the patch is I don't go for distance I just want a good start. But I have been known on occasion to light them up for a crowd or to show some of my friends that this 6Klb beast isn't "that" much of a slug
Its a Crewcab 04, 5.4, FX4 with the stock 18's and BFG's. Mods: intake, exhaust, edge lvl 3, 3.73's
Burning out might costs me some tire life, but heck its my truck and you have to pay to play.

When I race on the streets "light to light", I click mine into 4wd. NO wheel spin at all, just one hell of a fast launch. It just gets up and goes! And usually, I win because the other guy cant get any traction, he just spins the rear tires. My heavy *** truck has beat GT Mustangs with NO problem by using this method. Have yet to run into a Corvette thats willing.... but it's just a matter of time...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My problem is, I want to be able to just be sitting at a stop, slam it to the floor and light them up with smoke puring off them... How do you make that happen???...without adding a supercharger or N02??????...Ok, well maybee a supercharge(I was looking at the Rouch kit). I'm getting the custom tunes from TP, but that can only do so much........sounds like I need a big block with a supercharger. If you look at my signature, you can see what I have... I was disappointed with my setup, I expected soooo much more... Any input on this would be greatly appreciated, planning on adding ARB lockers to the front and rear and some 33's or maybe 35's mudders, but I still want to be able to smoke them from a stop..... Is that to much to ask???????

LOL.. Apparently the Mustangs you have "beat" didn't know you were racing or do not know how to drive a manual.
