Fast forward to yesterday, installed new Cooper STTs 33x12.50x20s on the stock wheels and still can break them loose from a dig.

Truck 07 SCrew 5.4 3:55 LSD. 4x4.
"This" was the reason I started this thread. I have a similar truck and equipment but can not chirp the tires. I even have the 3.73, which provides more lower end, and nothing.... Life goes on... no big deal, it's not like I would be peeling out all the time if I could, but this an example of how different these trucks can be with regards to power and performance. Sure, there are other ways to measure this, but a simple measuring practice nonetheless- two similar trucks side-by-side, each floored, one peels-out, the other doesn't... it makes you think... WTF? Believe me, this is discussed and debated on other forums with other vehicles. Remember, I just traded my 07 Stang in on this 07 FX4. You would not believe the difference in proven RWHP as tested on dynos amongst other similar Mustangs. Slight differences are expected with different variable, including break-in, fuel, weight, outside temperature, humidity, etc., BUT there are documented evidences where two exact same cars(years, model, axle, engine, transmission, etc.), in the exact same environment, one would be as much as 45 RWHP different than other... THAT’S 16% DIFFERENCE!!! How can this be...? Where’s the quality control? It would seem that the push for fuel economy has taken precedent, however, you will see that “that” varies greatly as well... Most people do not have dynos in their garage, if they did, this would definitely be a bigger deal. People might not be getting what they think that they’re getting. Ford tells you that you’re getting 300 hp at the fly wheel, wonder if you’re only getting 200. How would you know... go on some forum about bitch about your truck not peeling out...lol. It’s all good... just some ranting, but food for thought.

Ya, mine will do the same with my Edge on level 2 with a custom program and 93 octane and custom exhaust and intake. So all in all, it only cost me around $1000 to lay a 4-5 foot track...

...I need a supercharger, maybe I'll get a 10-12 foot track

I dont want to say anyone is full of s**t, but i have troyer tunes running 93 perf, 3.5 af1, and maggie exhaust, and this truck is still a dog. It doesnt lay any patch from a stand still, dry or wet. Yes it will if i brake stand it but even then its pretty pathetic and doesnt really get into the rpms at all. I've asked Troyer about this and they give the BS excuse about tire compounds and road materials. I am disappointed with the low end performance with this combo. So to all the guys that have these freak of nature "stock" trucks, congrats on getting lucky.

When my truck was bone stock, all I could do was a minor peel out. With my current setup, well, just lets say that I have zero problems roasting my tires.

You can't break the tires loose when its wet. I have to keep first and second gear under 2250rpm when it rains or my truck just spins.

When my truck was all stock I could spin in first until I let off the gas and chirp in second. Tires changed all that. I did get a good burnout yesterday after work. I was making a righ turn from a stop sign. After I let the clutch out I nailed the gas and I had tire spin until I shifted at about 5000rpm. I don't drop the clutch from a dead stop. I just let it out a little quicker than normal .

I love the SRT10's . Just not the mpg's, but "you have to pay to play". Your manual tranny only eats 40hp from 500hp, and the 5.4 auto eats 80hp from 300hp. The 5.4 is a great engine, but the auto tranny needs work.

Ill trade you some of my traction for some of your burnout.

Troyer had told me that BS about tire compound being the reason my truck has no low end at all. I have stock 20" pirellis, just like others that have no trouble lighting them up. Im not trying to waste money on tires, but after the tunes i was hoping to be able to actually have better power off the line, not worse. I mean this is their "allstar" combo, 3.5 af1, maggie, and 93 perf tune, and right now it is such a disappointment. If the tire compound is causing my truck to be a turd off the line, what tires are you guys running on your "stock monsters"?

I have the Toyo Proxes S/T's. They're a performance street tire, and they stick like glue. They won't help you do any burnouts, but they will help you launch better.
