Unhappy window fell.. how can i fix it?

well i took a 350 mile trip to San Antonio Texas, lucky me on the parking lot of SixFlagsFiestaTexas i hear a loud pop then my driver window falls... my gf and i took out my tools and tried to at least put it back up, thank god i bought my tool box, so we manage to just stick a peace of wood i had in the back and keep the window from falling again, what can i do to fix the problem, what has to be done? has anyone fixed the problem on there own?

you now get to replace the window regulator. This is a problem on the new f150s. both of my front windows have failed and i fixed them to the tune of 89.xx each.

Temporarily, tie it to the door frame.

Damn the power window system on these trucks are crap.

I had to take my speaker cover off and push the window back up, and then duct tape the top of the window to the door.

I think it's a pretty cheap/quick fix but all 4 of mine were replaced under warranty.

I had the same problem on my driver's side about 3 weeks ago .. I was luckily able to just leave it down and take it to the local auto shop the next morning. Parts and labor were around $180 for the fix.

My drivers side switch seems to be going out. I have to push it just right to get it to go up. Down is fine though. Go figure.

Her name is Raven Riley, and she is my gf/wife, not Thumpers.

I checked out her website the other day to see what she was all about, and apparently I'm also sharing her with a whole lot of guys other than just Thumper.

Mine started to to that recently. Takes a few attempts before it will go up, and it seems to be worse on hot days. Like you, down is fine. Probably a sign of things to come, so I'll probably tell the dealer about it the next time I'm in for an oil change; but knowing my luck, they probably won't be able to duplicate the problem.
