Another Window Regulator Done!

This is the second one I will be replacing. The window just falls down but, you can here the motor going. This is really annoying especially since I'm out of warranty. Is this normal? I mean, my driver window broke about 3 months ago and now its the passenger rear, what the F@#$K. Has anyone else had this problem?

happened once, window wouldnt go back up unless pulled. Dealership said it wasn't too common, but he'd seen it before.

Something about the window regulater falling, cause of the heat, the adhesive on the regulater wouldn't stick? Or somethin like that

happened to me also. Drivers front last summer and about a month ago the front passenger's failed. out of warranty so i had to buy the parts and do the work myself. bought parts from fordparts.com for 88.00 each. put a dowel rod to hold up the glass til the part arrived. if they fail again i will prolly just weld them shut permanently.

What were the symptoms before it failed? My passenger window makes a terrible grinding sound (metal on metal/glass) and has been for about a year or so. Still works just makes a terrible sound.....

I had no symptoms. Just went to raise the window one day and the "BIG BANG" happened. You just hear a bang and the window won't go up any more

Were you able to purchase the regulator or you had to buy the whole motor? The dealer is telling me the regulator and motor come as one unit and want 130 bucks for it. I did this when my driver window broke, but I'm curious if I really need to replace the motor also. The motor still works, you can hear it moving but the window just doesn't budge. Any help would be appreciated

My passenger window just did the same thing - I'm at 41k miles. The driver's side did this a few months ago when I was under warranty and Ford took care of it. I've got a 3rd party extended warranty now so we'll see if they take care of it. Is there not a TSB out for this yet?????
